Light Ragaz writes a new chapter

Light Ragaz can look back on a six-year success story. Now the sails are being re-set. From 2024, the focus will no longer be on staging events, but on other projects.

The last Light Ragaz event to be held in the Tamina Gorge attracted around 13,000 visitors from 18 May to 21 October 2023. The organizers are thus closing the first chapter and can look back on a six-year success story. In recent years, an idea to stage the Tamina Gorge with a light show has evolved into a company that has attracted around 200,000 guests to the region with a total of nine events in summer and winter. This contributed to an increase in overnight stays and added value for tourism in the region.

Light Ragaz lives on
This is one of the reasons why the decision not to plan any further events from 2024 for the time being was a difficult one. The approaching end of the year offers the opportunity to reminisce and look back on the successful events. Those responsible show the best images from past editions in a video.
The turn of the year also marks a new beginning for the young company. From 2024, Rosa Ilmer and Larissa Marthy, who both work full-time at Light Ragaz AG, will dedicate themselves to continuing the “Light and Water World” project, which originated from the Light Ragaz idea. The focus is on the development of a year-round, seasonal and weather-independent overall offer with overnight accommodation, culinary delights, a world of experience, a conference center and a place of learning. The search for a location and the development of the detailed concept have already been completed and initial clarifications regarding feasibility and licensing are currently underway. In the meantime, the project has reached a size that requires the deployment of more human resources. Light Ragaz lives on and those responsible are looking forward to filling the next chapter with content.
