Ticket sales open

The light spectacle returns to the Tamina Gorge from 13 May to 16 October 2021 and presents a completely new show. With an absolute world premiere, the makers of Light Ragaz are even setting completely new standards in the field of light art. Tickets are now available.

Let go, immerse yourself, experience – Light Ragaz finally returns and takes visitors on an interactive light tour through the breathtaking natural scenery of the Tamina Gorge near Bad Ragaz. The light spectacle has already thrilled thousands of visitors since 2017 and will take place for the fourth time this summer. Visitors can expect not only a completely new show from 13 May to 16 October 2021, but also a world premiere.

An interactive experience for all the senses
Light Ragaz is famous for the fascinating images on the up to 80-metre-high rock faces of the Tamina Gorge, creating one of the largest natural canvases for moving images in the world. Together with the artist collective Projektil from Zurich, the entire show has now been reinvented for the season 2021. “Light Ragaz will be unrecognisable and will present itself in a completely new light,” promises Rosa Ilmer, Head of Business Development at Light Ragaz AG. Light Ragaz takes visitors on a tour of around 1 km, which includes a total of eleven extraordinary light art installations. This interactive and at the same time fascinating world of lights enables visitors to experience the light art with all their senses. “The images react to our touch and thus come to life,” Ilmer describes the sensory experience.

New technologies from Sarganserland in use
The big highlight of this magical journey through the light-filled Tamina Gorge is an absolute world premiere. Thanks to the latest technology from the company ESPROS in Sargans, the faces of the visitors are projected onto the brute rock walls of the Tamina Gorge in 3D effects. An experience that is sure to amaze young and old alike. “We are extremely pleased to be able to set new standards in the field of light art with a regional company,” is how Rosa Ilmer describes the collaboration. One’s own face on an 80-metre-high rock face – that is truly beyond imagination.

Fresh air and open space guaranteed
Of course, the breathtaking natural scenery of the Tamina Gorge is and will remain unique – fresh air and sufficient free space included. So that visitors can enjoy Light Ragaz despite the measures taken to combat the corona pandemic, those responsible have taken all the necessary measures to ensure that visitors have a safe experience. With a visitor limit and other protective measures in place, the makers of Light Ragaz are confident that the gates will finally be able to open again on 13 May 2021. Tickets for the light spectacle are now available in advance.
